Laurel Crown Schnauzers
Pick Up Date Policy
Go Home dates will be set by me when I feel that puppies are ready to leave, and we are available to meet our puppy parents. Puppies will not be released before 8 weeks of age, no exceptions. We cannot release early, even by one day, and we thank you for understanding.
Our home is in Hopkins county in Northeast Texas, approximately 70 miles East of Dallas. We will meet close to Interstate 30 and an address will be provided closer to that date.
Go Home Day will almost always be on a Saturday and we will give as much advance notice as possible. It will most likely be the Saturday following their 8-week birthday, so, for example, if their 8-week birthday falls on a Tuesday, they will be ready the Saturday of that same week. Sometimes it will be closer to 9 weeks of age that we release puppies. We will notify our puppy parents of a date, schedule an appointment time, and provide an address to meet our parents. We do understand that many eager & excited puppy parents may drive a long distance to unite with their new puppy, so we will always try to be as accommodating as possible. It is our pleasure to provide local hotel recommendations, if needed. We want our parents to be safe and rested.
If a puppy must stay with us longer than scheduled due to new parents being unable to pick up on the specified Go Home date, a $25.00/per day boarding fee will be added to the payoff balance. This will be used to cover costs of food & supplements, time involved with additional age-appropriate puppy curriculum & socialization, and everyday care for the puppy. It does not include any Veterinarian care for the puppy. If Veterinarian care is required for the puppy during this extended boarding stay, whether routine wellness/vaccinations, or emergency medical care, those costs will be the responsibility of the new parents and we will require reimbursement. In order for the puppy to be released to new puppy parents, these fees must be paid in cash in addition to the purchase price balance at our meeting. We can only hold and board a puppy an additional 2 weeks or 14 days. If it is more than 2 weeks, we will have to relist the puppy for sale. Boarding fees will be deducted from the pre-paid reservation fee and the remainder will be transferred to a future litter.
Laurel Crown Schnauzers does not ship puppies via cargo for air travel; we require that they be picked up in person by the new puppy parents at one of our local airports and fly back with parents in the cabin. As scheduling and availability allows, we are willing to meet Buyers in person at either Dallas Fort Worth International airport, or Tyler Pounds Field airport for those flying in to collect a puppy. Additional fees will apply for our travel expenses and time.
Dependent on our availability, we may be open to discussing our flight nanny services with approved Buyers. Each airline has their own requirements, age-restriction, and fees for pet travel. Please discuss with us before purchasing airline tickets to make sure requirements are met and that we are available. Additional fees will apply if we provide flight nanny services for delivery, including but not limited to; a fee for our time, our airline ticket, airline fees for the puppy, an approved airline pet carrier, and any additional health certificates that are required by each airline.
If Buyers fail to pick up a puppy for any reason, Buyers forfeit any money or non-refundable reservation fees paid toward the purchase price. Money will not be refunded.
